Welcome to Beaverton Slot Car Club. We are a private slot car racing club that races at my private home. We race every other Tuesday throughout the year. There are 2 seasons per year each lasting about 5 months each or about 11 races. See the current schedule under the "Events Page" section for the latest schedule.

We welcome any new racer with or without experience in slot car racing. The minimum age requirement is 12 years old. We have racers of all ages even up to 80 years old. We are a family friendly environment which means no drinking of alcohol is allowed. We have a moto which is "Just for the Fun of It". We try to live up to that.

The cost of racing is FREE! Just show up and race. We don't provide snacks but most bring their own snacks to share with the group and drinks. It is always nice to drink (non alcohol), eat, and be merry.

Listed below are things you will need to race if you like what we do. Usually the first time someone comes out to see what we are all about, someone in the club loans them a car and we have free controllers you can use. After that, if you like racing, we would expect you to get involved with your own cars and controllers.

• Current Car that meets the requirements of the season. See "The Pits Page" for the current cars we are racing. Cars cost from $25 to $75 each.
• A controller of your own choosing. A competitive one that most like to use can cost about $100, but it doesn't matter which one you get.
• Spare parts for your car for when they break. These can be things like tires, guides, etc. Cost is about $5 to $20.

We keep track of the races for the season for each racer and they will be listed on the "Standings" page. All racers are broken into A Main and B Main racers. Usually the faster racers race in the A Mains and the wee bit slower racers race in the B Mains. Each position is awarded points and 3 races are thrown out for a total of 8 races. That way if you miss a night or two or three you can still win the season. The winners of the season get their name on a real nice trophy that stays in the club, a photo goes on the site, and all the world will know who you are. (Well if they come to this site they will). 2nd and 3rd place finishers get a nice medal or plaque or something.
