This is our other track at the Stumman Racing Concourse.
This started out as a crawl space under our house and in the spring of 2004, we decided to turn this hugh crawl space into something more fun. What you see is the results.
It is a "crash and burn" track. This means you race until you crash. Usually we will set up a race with only so many laps. If you crash you are out of the race, just like real racing. Then the one left racing will have to keep going and try and stay within 1 second or less, depending on the size of the track, of his top time. If that sounds like a lot of time to stay within remember this track can take up to 30 seconds to make a lap.
We have had a track size of up to 235 feet of run time. This would take a high speed racer 30 seconds to make one lap. Now we have a 135 foot track that takes about 18 seconds to make a lap. We change out the layout about every 6 months.
This is a LeMans type track. There will be a lot of scenery on the track and we have plans to add lights for night racing.
My wife, Myrna did all the decorations for both tracks. She makes the curtains, hangs the wall paper, and paints the walls. Man am I a lucky guy!!!
